Inspira Says Farewell to Chief Medical Officer Dr. Steve Linn

Jul 20, 2023

Since 2001, Steve Linn, M.D., M.P.H., has been a prominent figure in driving Inspira’s mission forward. Now, after more than two decades as chief medical officer for the Bridgeton, Elmer and Vineland campuses, Dr. Linn has left to pursue other passions, including teaching mindfulness, meditation and stress management, and providing continuing education on improving end-of-life care.

During his time at Inspira, Dr. Linn helped propel the organization through incredible growth, innovations in technology, and enhancements in quality and safety. He introduced the hospitalist program in 2002 and the intensivist program in 2014; developed our physician leadership academy; and, most recently, was instrumental in navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Linn has left an indelible mark on Inspira, and we thank him for his contributions over the last two decades.

Matthew Warner, M.D., M.B.A., C.P.E., is now serving as interim chief medical officer for Bridgeton, Elmer and Vineland; Jamie Patel, M.D., will continue to serve as chief medical officer for Mullica Hill and Woodbury. We will conduct a search for a chief medical officer leader in the near future. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lydia Stockman, R.N., M.H.A., F.A.C.H.E., senior vice president and chief administrative officer, Inspira Medical Centers, at StockmanL@ihn.org.
